Have you ever wanted to learn more about campus hookup culture, but did not know where to begin? Come to the Sexualities and Sexual Cultures Q&A with Dr. Lisa Wade! Dr. Wade has performed research on hookup culture directly on Tulane’s campus, and has even published a book with her findings, entitled American Hookup. TUPHE will be moderating a Q&A with Dr. Wade and her Sexualities and Sexual Cultures interns about campus hookup culture and efforts made to better help students understand sex and pleasure.

Burlesque Workshop w/ Lola van Ella

Get your bodies moving and learn the history and basics of burlesque in a workshop filled with sex positivity, body confidence, intentional movement, and community fun! Our class will be taught by Lola van Ella, a local burlesque performer and showrunner! All attendees must be 18+.

Let's Talk about Scents, Baby!

Residents of DeLa will be able to create their own room sprays using essential oils for Sex Week. This will allow residents to help create an environment where they can feel peaceful or sexy, depending on their mood. We will also have foods that are known to be sensuous or have aphrodisiac properties, such as chocolate covered strawberries, ginger tea, bananas, and almonds.

Stop by the Genital Diversity Gallery in James Lounge, which showcases SEX-ED + models. SEX-ED + is the first project to create anatomically exact tools, based on human molding techniques, and presents the vast spectrum of genitalia (assigned-male, assigned-female, intersex, trans, and with voluntary or forced surgeries) to destigmatize genitals and celebrate the diversity of bodies that exist. Additional giveaways and goodies will be present.

Join the Goldman center as they hand out these easy access graphic-novel style book for students to take for free to learn more about sex and having sex as a disabled person or with a disabled partner. Disability is an identity not often discussed as a core component of the self, but is an integral component of EDI efforts. Sex, sexuality, and sexual freedom are also core components of inclusion for people with disabilities.
