What does reproductive justice mean to you? Come tell Big Easy EC on McAlister! Students will have the opportunity to freely write thoughts about reproductive justice, emergency contraception, and sex positivity. Fun giveaways and stickers will be available!

Come make your own safer sex kits on McAlister with TUPHE! At this drop-in tabling event, you can mix and match whatever supplies you would like in your kit and learn more about the importance of barrier methods.

Learn about safer sex practices, affirmative consent, and how to keep yourself and others safe and secure during sex with SAPHE! Come and get a copy of Emily Nagoski’s Come As You Are, Sexual Citizens, safer sex supplies, and dinner.

Have you ever wanted to learn more about campus hookup culture, but did not know where to begin? Come to the Sexualities and Sexual Cultures Q&A with Dr. Lisa Wade! Dr. Wade has performed research on hookup culture directly on Tulane’s campus, and has even published a book with her findings, entitled American Hookup. TUPHE will be moderating a Q&A with Dr. Wade and her Sexualities and Sexual Cultures interns about campus hookup culture and efforts made to better help students understand sex and pleasure.

The goal of our event is to provide a space for Butler and Josephine Louise residents to learn about an assortment of sex-related topics (consent and communication, contraception, religious and cultural influences on sex, etc) and create their own safer sex kits in a more private space. During each event we plan to have an activity about anatomy for residents to partake in as well.

Get your bodies moving and learn the history and basics of burlesque in a workshop filled with sex positivity, body confidence, intentional movement, and community fun! Our class will be taught by Lola van Ella, a local burlesque performer and showrunner! All attendees must be 18+.

Residents of DeLa will be able to create their own room sprays using essential oils for Sex Week. This will allow residents to help create an environment where they can feel peaceful or sexy, depending on their mood. We will also have foods that are known to be sensuous or have aphrodisiac properties, such as chocolate covered strawberries, ginger tea, bananas, and almonds.

Stop by the Genital Diversity Gallery in James Lounge, which showcases SEX-ED + models. SEX-ED + is the first project to create anatomically exact tools, based on human molding techniques, and presents the vast spectrum of genitalia (assigned-male, assigned-female, intersex, trans, and with voluntary or forced surgeries) to destigmatize genitals and celebrate the diversity of bodies that exist. Additional giveaways and goodies will be present.

Come decorate a tote bag with the queer crafts club! You can make either a sex-positive quote or drawing, the possibilities are endless!

Come join SVPR and Dr. Katherine Johnson, professor of sociology and advisor to the Gender and Sexuality Studies department to play group trivia surrounding themes of sex positivity, pleasure, and efforts to build an inclusive campus sexual climate. Meet us in Pocket Park at 6:30 pm to enjoy dinner, trivia, giveaways, and community. No need to come with a specific trivia group–we will put you into a group if needed! We hope to see you there!

Join Club Ace during Sex Week for a Heels Class. Take this time to express yourself and your sensuality fully through dance and music. This is an open space, so all you need is yourself and your favorite pair of heels. No dance experience is required.

Join the Sexualities and Sexual Cultures interns for an afternoon of fun — featuring ten interactive games, created by the SSCI team. Stop by for some @TUSexSci t-shirts, Sex Week merch, and a special giveaway!

Join Dr. Laura Helen Marks for a presentation on the Golden Age of Porn! Come learn about the Golden Age as a touch stone for understanding sexual politics in American cinema history, while tracing its legacies of feminist and queer activism.

The Newcomb Insitute will be hosting a screening of the documentary “Periodical” and giving away menstrual supplies. We will open the floor for a discussion after the film about students’ thoughts and feelings about their experience with menstruation and how Tulane can be more supportive of students with menstrual cycles. Additionally, we will be pulling raffle winners for our special giveaway items.

Hear from local community organizer, historian, and tour guide, Quinn L. Bishop, who is an expert in the histories of poor working class women and queer people in the Progressive Era and beyond. She will take us on a journey back all the way to the newly formed French colony of New Orleans and introduce us to successful methods of resistance employed in the past that can shape our present-day movements!

Join Big Easy EC for a fun game of jeopardy to test your knowledge about sex positivity and reproductive justice! You’ll have the chance to enter giveaways and learn about the importance of reproductive freedom as Tulane students.

Join the Goldman center as they hand out these easy access graphic-novel style book for students to take for free to learn more about sex and having sex as a disabled person or with a disabled partner. Disability is an identity not often discussed as a core component of the self, but is an integral component of EDI efforts. Sex, sexuality, and sexual freedom are also core components of inclusion for people with disabilities.
