What is sex week and why is it important?

Sex Week offers comprehensive and engaging sexual health events and conversations. Comprehensive sexual health education is a pillar of sexual violence prevention. The Well for Health Promotion recognizes that what defines “comprehensive” differs based on geographic, social and personal factors, thus causing an educational gap in sexual health. To help lessen the gap, the Well for Health Promotion has teamed up with other offices, departments, and student organizations throughout Tulane’s community to reframe sex education for a collegiate community.

Who is sex week for?

Sex Week is for everyone. Sex Week is an invitation for all Tulanians to step into a space of sexual empowerment and wellness, one that promotes safety, respect and autonomy. Sex Week fosters confidence and encourages students to normalize conversations around sexual health and identity.
